Teen stabbed twice as Melbourne CBD flat stormed

A teenager was stabbed in the head and leg in a vicious attack when three men stormed a flat in Melbourne’s CBD.

The 18-year-old was wheeled to an ambulance outside the apartment block on Little Bourke Street after the attack about 7am on Sunday.

A thick bandage was wrapped around his head to stanch the bleeding and paramedics had to cut open his jeans to treat the wound to his lower left leg.

He was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police said the three men were known to him.

Friends tried to fight off the attackers but two of them men stabbed him before fleeing and remain on the run hunted by police. 

Another man, Adnandez Abdir, suffered minor cuts to his lip and forehead which he said was from a scuffle with the attackers outside the street.

‘They hit me in the forehead for no reason, bro,’ he told Seven News.

However, police couldn’t confirm if the violence continued outside, and noted Mr Abdir wasn’t cooperating with the investigation.

Two of the three men were of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean appearance and one of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance.

Several people inside the flat provided witness statements and police asked anyone else who may have seen something to come forward.
