But Samantha Faiers, 28, is already trying to shift the baby weight, sharing her latest diet with her 2m Instagram followers on Monday.
The former TOWIE star revealed she was taking on the 5:2 diet – eating for five days and then fasting for two – but it sparked quite a debate among followers about whether or not she can diet and breastfeed safely at the same time.

The mum-of-two shared a picture of a bright green juice along with all the ingredients and nutrients packed inside.
In the lengthy caption, the reality starlet posted: ‘I know I’m a bit late on the detoxing/fitness/diet craze. But I’m starting today after second baby it seems to be harder to shift the excess weight.
‘To be fair I have been eating what I want & only minimal exercise. I am going to try a 5:2 diet I have heard really good things about it. And it’s totally healthy for us breastfeeding mums,’ she continued.

Sam did her best to reassure her fans that the new healthy eating blitz is safe for breastfeeding mothers – with Samantha still taking care of Rosie.
The 5:2 diet involves eating normally for five days, while only consuming around 500 for the other two.
Some fans didn’t seem too convinced that the Mummy Diaries star was right to try the fade, with many followers raising concerns that the part-fasting diet isn’t safe for breastfeeding mothers.
One follower said: ‘You should never diet when breastfeeding’, while another chimed: ‘Slimming world is the only breastfeeding safe diet that midwifes recommend’
‘Sam I don’t think you will be able to sustain breastfeeding on the 2 x 500 calories days. You’d be better on slimming world, that’s the only diet the midwives recommend. It’s much more balanced just a very low fat/low sugar diet.’ wrote a third follower.

There appears to be is conflicting advice on this touchy subject – with nutritional Therapist May Simpkin suggesting that pregnant and breastfeeding women should not fast, telling the Mail Online in August: ‘Pregnancy is a time to ensure good nutrients and adequate calories for a growing baby’
However, lactation specialist Vanessa Christie told OK! Online that said while the diet may impact on nutrition, that she is ‘absolutely right’ to wait 6 weeks after giving birth as a dieting programme ‘can have a negative impact on milk supply’.
Samantha shares two year-old son Paul Tony and Rosie with boyfriend Paul Knightley, 27, who she met at Chigwell hot-spot Sheesh in 2014 after shortly splitting up with Joey Essex.
She has kept a relatively low-profile on the showbiz circuit since becoming a mother, but has given fans an insight into her family life through her own reality series Sam Faiers: The Baby Diaries and The Mummy Diaries.
While the first series followed her pregnancy, labour and the first few moments of parenthood, her second saw Sam settling into family life with her beau and their son Paul and had documented Sam’s sister Billie’s second pregnancy with son Arthur.
