Two snow sports enthusiasts took going off-piste to new levels in an adrenaline fueled race to the bottom of the Valfrejus slopes in France.
The two thrill-seekers got their skis on in a fast paced race over the fresh white powder – with one taking the traditional route to the bottom and the other using paragliding equipment for an extra boost.
Captured on a GoPro camera, the snow riders are seen hurtling down the slopes as one overtakes the other before himself being caught again.

Beginning near the summit, the skier is seen racing into an early lead slaloming down at speed.
But the paragliding racer, known as a ‘speedrider’ quickly catches him up gliding over the crests before hitting the slopes again and careering away.
It’s neck and neck between the pair as they overtake each other before reeling them back in, going faster and faster with each turn.

Skiing instructors Thomas Brand and Ugo Gerola decided to take each other on in the high speed mountainside race.
Thomas, 22, flew down the slopes at the Valfrejus resort in France with a speedriding wing, with Udo, 25, trying to beat him on skis.
The heart-pounding race, set against a beautiful backdrop, produced a close finish, with the skier just beating out the speedrider.
Thomas said: ‘We have both been speed riding since 2011 and are very good friends.’
