Two passengers came to blows in a sickening fight on a Sydney train – only to emerge from the fray bloodied and bruised to hug it out.
The fight’s origins were unclear as the argument began before the video, which appeared to be filmed on the inner west line on Tuesday night, began.
An older man in a cap and blue singlet with a bag over his shoulder loomed over a young office worker wearing a pink business shirt and glasses.

He told the older man, who he later referred to as Ben, to get back to his carriage and then called him a junkie, sending him into a rage.
‘I’m not an junkie, I hate drugs… you’re an evil f**king nasty c**t,’ he said.
‘Let’s go. I’m gonna smash you, brother,’ he continued, to which the younger man responded: ‘Mate you’ve got no chance.’
‘I’ll detain you and get the cops onto ya, you c**t,’ Ben replied, prompting his opponent to lunge at him and begin the fight.
They fell onto the seat and he continued hitting him while basically sitting in his lap as both tried to tussle for better position
They grappled and ended up on the seats on the other side of the aisle with Ben on top and the younger one putting his leg around his neck
The younger man grabbed Ben by the neck and landed two solid punches to his face in sickeningly ruthless fashion, while the other laid blows to his body.

The young man eventually kicked Ben across the train and they both got up to continue but paused in ready positions.

Instead of continuing the fight, both combatants appeared to apologise and embrace for a long hug to end the conflict
Both fighters looked like they had taken a beating with Ben appearing to have blood all over his face from a cut near his left eye.
‘Look you had a crack at me first. This is not how I intended my night to go… I’m trying to get home, I have work in the morning,’ the younger man said.
The response was inaudible on the video, but the younger man eventually said: ‘If you don’t mean it, I don’t mean it.’
The combatants then embraced to a chorus of ‘awww’ from other passengers who earlier had been concerned and called the police.
