The taxi driver, who was driving a Volkswagen Passat under the Amber Cars logo, seemed to have come off worse with blood dripping from his head.

Both men stopped fighting once the person recording the video came forward and told them ‘that’s enough’, before asking why the taxi driver ‘pulled in front like that’.

Speaking afterwards, a witness said: ‘The taxi cut the wagon up causing them to crash. They both got out and started fighting with no words spoken.

‘Probably shouldn’t have been fighting, it really could have easily been avoided. But I bet they were both angry for whatever reason.

‘I presume something happened before to cause it. I left the scene after I had helped split them up so not sure what happened but was all calm when I left.’

An employee at Amber Cars hung up the phone when asked for a comment today. West Yorkshire Police has also been contacted for a statement.

Chadwick Street is in the upmarket Leeds Dock area of the city, which has a number of retail and office buildings along with waterside apartments next to the River Aire.
