Dustin Appenzeller, 30, has been charged with physical abuse of a child, intentionally causing bodily harm
A Wisconsin father has been charged with physical abuse of a child, intentionally causing bodily harm after he allegedly dripped liquid used in e-cigarettes into his nine-week-old son’s mouth.
Dustin Appenzeller, 30, allegedly gave his young son vaping liquid when the child was crying.
Appenzeller told investigators he gave the child ‘a couple drops’ of vaping liquid, according to Fox6.
When the authorities from Racine asked him why, Appenzeller said ‘I don’t know. He was crying. I was really tired.’
A witness in the home told authorities that the baby was hungry, so she asked Appenzeller to get him a bottle while she used the bathroom. When she returned, she found him using the dropper to drip the liquid into the child’s mouth.
The baby was ‘foaming at the mouth’ and appeared to be having a seizure.
She told investigators she said ‘Oh my god! What did you do?’ and Appenzeller responded with, ‘I’ve done it before. It’s fine.’
He told investigators he gave the baby ‘a couple drops’.

A bottle of vaping liquid was found in his pocket, and sent to the hospital with the child for doctors in touch with Poison Control.
He first appeared in court on February 1 and bond was set at $5,000. He will have a preliminary hearing on February 8.
