The striker arrived at the club on Wednesday before the transfer deadline and, alongside the fit-again Michael Antonio, is available to strengthen David Moyes’ attacking options.

Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini are close to returning from thigh injuries but remain sidelined, alongside Andy Carroll (foot), Jose Fonte (ankle), Winston Reid (groin), Pedro Obiang (knee), Edimilson Fernandes (ankle) and the suspended Arthur Masuaku.

Brighton won both previous home top-flight encounters against West Ham, doing so in 1981-82 and 1982-83.
