Hasty exit: Jess admitted she thought she would only last four days in the house, and had to borrow her housemates toiletries after she ran out!

However, she soon realised that wasn’t the case, as she confessed: ‘I ran out of face wipes, I ran out of clothes, I ran out of toothpaste, I ran out of shampoo because I thought I won’t need it. And then I was like, ‘Guys I’m going to need to borrow your belongings.”

The reality star – who was never put up for eviction and was never nominated, told Emma: ‘I am flabbergasted. It’s such a wonderful feeling inside my tummy!’

‘It never really went through my mind [winning]. I knew I felt I was friends with everyone. Amanda [Barrie] is my idol. Ann [Widdecombe] would let me speak about some things, I thought be struck down as a stupid little girl. She never made me feel like that.

‘She would let me speak and I would learn. And Maggie was like my mum in the house. I met some people that will be cherished forever. That experience will never got lost ever.’

Stunned: On the topic of not being nominated, Jess said: 'I am flabbergasted. It's such a wonderful feeling inside my tummy!'

Jess was still beaming despite finishing in fourth place during the much-anticipated final, behind Shane Lynch, 41, Ann Widdecombe, 70, and eventual winner Courtney Act, 36.

Emma, who made no secret that this series was her favourite, looked delighted as she quizzed Courtney about her time on the show and also ensured to ask her how she felt about winning the ‘Woman Of The Year’ theme series in honour of the 100th anniversary of women getting the vote.

‘It’s slightly ironic,’ Courtney noted, before revealing: ‘It’s amazing to think that the public have chosen me.

‘My inspiration for coming into the house was that teenage boy who didn’t quite know where he belonged or how he fit in and feeling inspired by the Spice Girls.

‘Not knowing what that meant but knowing it was okay to be different too. I guess [winning] was about validation that it is ok to be different.’
