Brady dresses like Austin Powers villain for Super Bowl

Tom Brady looked more like a movie villain than a pro footballer as he arrived at US Bank Field on Sunday for the New England Patriots prepared to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.

Brady came to the Minneapolis stadium wearing a popped-collar pea coat and dark shades, resembling Number 2 from the Austin Powers franchise.

The only thing missing to complete the ensemble was an eye patch.

The 40-year-old was wearing a straight face as he walked into the stadium on Sunday, for the first time seen without a glove on his injured hand.

But all social media users could seem to talk about was the coat-and-glasses combo.

‘Tom Brady is about to take off his coat, pick up a crowbar, and go toe-to-toe with James Bond on a gantry in an ICBM silo,’ tweeted one user.

‘And now…Your starting Quarterback…TILDA SWINTON TRYING TO NOT BE RECOGNIZED IN GREENWICH VILLAGE!’ wrote another.

Others joked that the baby-faced, 40-year-old four-time Super Bowl MVP better resembled kids playing dress-up.

‘*very obviously two kids in a trench coat* ‘Hi, I’m grown up athlete and husband of Gisele Bundchen Tom Brady,” journaist Ronan Farrow tweeted.

Tweeted Cullen Crawford: ‘And now…Your starting Quarterback…TILDA SWINTON TRYING TO NOT BE RECOGNIZED IN GREENWICH VILLAGE!’

The Patriots, who have been dubbed by many the ‘evil Empire of the NFL’ are favored to win over the Eagles and give Brady his sixth Super Bowl wing.

The Eagles and Patriots last played each other in the Super Bowl, in which New England won in nail biter 24-21.
