Two men being questioned over suspected Fremantle murder

Police are questioning two people over a suspected murder after a man was found dead inside a home.

Emergency services were called to a property on the corner of Chester and Lloyd streets in South Fremantle, Western Australia, at 6.15am on Monday.

Western Australia Police said two men, one in his 30s one in his 50s, are assisting Homicide Squad detectives with their enquiries.

The area was cordoned off with police tape, and neighbours said people were seen at the home where a man lives alone on Sunday afternoon. 

‘I opened the curtains and the whole street was cordoned off, with two ambulances, and about three police cars,’ local resident Katie Hobbs toldNine News.

‘It’s not a shock. There’s definitely some action, some drinking action in that area. But more recently it’s sorted of escalated, but I’m not sure what’s happened.’ 

Detectives are appealing for information about the incident.
