Justin Timberlake is being slammed on social media for his Super Bowl Halftime performance outfit as underwhelmed fans mock him over his bizarre, nature-inspired clothing.
The pop star was dressed head to toe in a custom made Stella McCartney camouflage print suit and a shirt that featured a rural landscape and deer emblazoned across it.
At one point he swapped out his camo suit jacket for a leather one, but kept a red bandana tied around his neck for the entire performance.
His outfit choice brought out some fairly strong opinions from people – and he is still being mercilessly mocked on Twitter almost 24 hours after taking to the stage.

‘I’m still thinking about how Justin Timberlake wore a windowpane and camo patterned suit over a print button up with a red bandana tied around his neck for his halftime show. It seems he is destined for wardrobe malfunctions,’ one person tweeted.
Another brought up history, saying: ‘Justin Timberlake, sweetie, this is the worst outfit you’ve ever worn. AND I AM COUNTING THAT DENIM MONSTROSITY OF 2001.’
The singer was also being compared to a Mac landscape screensaver, a paint palette and an advertisement for a Bass Pro Shop.
‘Who wore it better: Justin Timberlake or Mac os Sierra?,’ one person tweeted alongside a photo of the Mac screensaver landscape image.
‘The best Super Bowl ad is Justin Timberlake’s shirt advertising for the Bass Pro Shop,’ another user pointed out.
Despite the criticism, the outfit was well planned out, according to Stella McCartney, and appears to draw inspiration from Timberlake’s new album Man of the Woods
Another tweet read: ‘What’s the deal with JT’s elk (moose? reindeer?) shirt? Is he going to the hunting lodge?’
Despite what some are saying, the outfit was well planned out by the British designer and appears to draw inspiration from Timberlake’s new album Man of the Woods.
The artwork on his shirt was pulled from paintings by artist Martin Ridley, according to McCartney.
‘He’s always carried himself with style, so to dress him is a real honor… the fact he chose Stella has been huge and the collaboration is one that inspires our menswear collection in so many ways…’ McCartney wrote on her Instagram on Monday.
Along with his outfit, Timberlake’s performance was also a talking point with some not impressed by his energetic medley of his most famous hits.
While a slick professional Timblerlake got the crowd on their feet, the standard concert-style show left fans at home underwhelmed, lacking the gasp-inducing spectacle of recent years.
He also copped some flak for his tribute to Prince during the show.
Halfway through his lackluster set, Timberlake performed a rendition of I Would Die 4 U on a grand piano while Prince’s image was cast on a giant sheet inside the stadium.
Prince fans were quick to point out however that Timberlake had previously dissed the singer in the 2007 song ‘Give It To Me’ and mocked his height at the Golden Globe Awards earlier that same year.
A number of those fans also noted that Prince hated holograms, even though his image was a projection.
