At Christmas, Lord Sugar beat his ‘frenemy’ Piers Morgan in a weight loss challenge, leaving the Good Morning Britain anchor eating his words.
And despite their contest taking place nearly two months ago, The Apprentice star hasn’t been able to resist taking a low swipe at his rival, posting a snarky remark about him on Twitter.
Uploading a photo of Piers, passed out asleep on a sun lounger, shirt off in nothing but blue swimming shorts, Lord Sugar captioned the snap: ‘I was told by my wife that when she was 6 months pregnant all she wanted to do was sleep.’
‘Pregnant Piers!’ Lord Sugar has mocked his ‘arch rival’ Piers Morgan by tweeting a snap of him asleep and shirtless on a sun lounger showcasing a rotund tummy
The unflattering snap of the Life Stories host accentuates his rotund midriff, with Lord Sugar – who shed 19lbs to beat Piers in the challenge – all to quick to point this out in his tweet.
Some of Lord Sugar’s followers lauded the tycoon for ‘his funniest tweet yet’, while others branded it ‘cruel’.
A week before Christmas, it was revealed that The Apprentice star had beaten Piers in the challenge, that kicked off in October,
The notoriously argumentative and competitive pair had agreed that the person who lost the least weight would donate £5,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Battling it out: The notoriously argumentative and competitive pair had agreed that the person who lost the least weight would donate £5,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital
The weigh-in at the end of the task showed that Piers had lost just 8lbs. Piers tried to claim his loss was due to an increase in muscle, but the show’s resident doctor Dr Hilary revealed Lord Sugar’s percentage loss was also higher – 9.54% to Piers’s 3.48%.
After chanting ‘loser’ repeatedly at Piers, Lord Sugar proved a worthy winner, opting to donate his £5,000 to Great Ormond Street as well – making it a £10,000 donation overall.
He told the charity’s representative: ‘I’m so pleased, bring me my cheque also… you can have that one also.’
Piers conceded defeat: ‘Well played Lord Sugar, you win, I lose… I’m staggered I’ve lost any weight. I’ve lost 8lbs. I’m quite happy about that. It’ll probably get me a dvd deal to lose weight’

He then admitted: ‘I’m going to go straight and have the biggest fry up you’ve ever seen.’
It was Dr Hilary who delivered the final blow to the pair however, adding: ‘Can I give you some bad news? You’re both still overweight.’

Albeit for a good cause, their challenge wasn’t without its fair share of insults, as Piers and Lord Sugar entertained viewers by bringing their playful spat onto the small screen in October.
Show host Piers had mocked Lord Sugar over his weight and asked the star if he had put on a few pounds, leaving his co-host Susanna stunned and quizzing whether it was ‘appropriate’ for Piers to comment on his guest’s appearance.
Piers had joked to Lord Sugar: ‘Are you chunking up a bit?’ prompting the businessman to confess he had ‘indulged’ over the summer, as he replied:’ I have put on 18lbs.’
Although, Lord Sugar didn’t seem fazed by Piers’ abruptness and hit back by branding the news reporter a ‘beached whale’.
Frenemies: Lord Sugar, 70, and Piers Morgan, 52, brought their sparring to Good Morning Britain, as they playfully traded insults about each other’s weight
‘Never you mind about me son,’ he said, before teasing: ‘Pot kettle, I saw you prancing around in the summer.’
Adding further insult, Lord Sugar then suggested that Piers’ wife, Celia, wants him to lose weight, before then challenging his frenemy to an impromptu weigh off.
Piers and Lord Sugar bravely decided to take to the scales live on air to record their weight.
Lord Sugar had weighed 14st 3lbs, Piers was revealed to be 16st 6lbs, with him claiming his total was ‘about right for my huge frame’. And of course, the weigh-in provided only more room for the pair to mock each other, with Piers branding Lord Sugar a ‘blubber boy’, only to be called a ‘chubster’ in return.
