With a gymnasium, art studio, classrooms and a library, it could be mistaken for one of the country’s prestigious schools.
But this state-of-the-art facility is Sydney’s newest childcare – Little Scribblers Early Learning Centre – for children as young as six weeks old.
Located on Benaroon Road in Belmore, the family-owned business comes complete with a cot room, cafeteria, art studio, outdoor playground and a mini soccer field.
Dubbed as an early learning wonderland, the boutique-style nursery also offers a technology corner, hands-on experiences, language and literacy lessons, and a fitness program.

Managing director Jacklean Daniels said the centre was inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach – an Italian-based world leading educational philosophy that focuses on each child’s needs and interests.
‘You would never see anything like this [childcare centre] in Sydney,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
‘We’ve seen the way children manoeuvre when they go to different lessons, there’s an impact as oppose to going to the same class everyday.
‘We want to teach children something different everyday – and they are learning in an environment with qualified teachers.
‘We run like an elite private school.’

According to Care for Kids, the average cost of childcare in Sydney is $156.20 – and suburbs around Belmore is $106.70.
‘Our prices cover all the children’s programs, activities, nappies, wipes and meals,’ Ms Daniels explained.
‘We have more staff on than legally required.’
The soccer program gives children an opportunity to develop gross motor skills, co-ordination, group interaction and build confidence and self-esteem

‘We are trying to maximise the learning capacity within the preschool years,’ Ms Daniels said.
‘Some of our best features would be the art studio and the library, which is run like a school library where pre-schoolers can borrow books.
‘We also teach music, language and literacy.’
The centre offers children an Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) curriculum, which embodies the idea of ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’.
