A woman has received a remorseless letter from her convicted paedophile father in prison just two years after he was jailed for abusing her.
The Canberra woman was sent the 1,400-word letter from her father, who was convicted of numerous assaults including against two of his daughters, the ABC reported.
The man was given a 10-year sentence, and two years into it he sent a letter with two Christmas cards to his daughter in January.

The letter contained complaints about the man’s life in jail.
‘From 6pm to 7am my world is severely restricted,’ it reads.
‘My cell is seven feet by ten. Boredom is also a major issue. The communal TV is either locked onto horse racing or cartoons.’
The woman’s family thought they were on a no-contact list, and asked the ACT Government how the man was able to send the letter.
The office for Corrections Minister Shane Rattenbury said the family wasn’t on the no-contact list but has since been added.
The husband of one of the man’s daughters wrote a letter in response.
‘I interpret your actions in this regard as yet another sign of the “bloody stupidity” you confessed to and displayed during your trial,’ the letter reads.
The husband said if the man continued to try and contact the woman it would ‘most definitely be seen as harassment and a continuation of the abuse’.

In the letter of response, the husband said ‘about five per cent’ of the original letter was regarding the man’s abuse.
‘It would have served you better if you had written just those 72 words and omitted the rest.’
ACT acting victims of crime commissioner Helen Watchirs said the letter sent by the convicted paedophile to his daughter was ‘disturbing’.
‘It’s a concern that proactive steps need to be taken by victims.’
