- Loretta the four-year-old budgerigar disappeared from a home in Collingwood
- The bird’s distressed owner stuck up very Australian posters asking for sightings
- ‘Four-year-old yellow/green budgie – squawks “f*** off”,’ the poster reads
A distressed Melbourne resident has posted what could be the most Australian missing pet sign of all time.
The poster showed a picture of the missing budgerigar, with text pointing out the bird’s yellow head, its green body… and it’s foul mouth.
Four-year-old Loretta knows only two words: ‘F***’ and ‘off’.

The dramatic poster stuck to a pole in Collingwood begins with an all-capitalised, bold ‘escaped’, before going into further detail.
Under a clear picture of the bird’s top half, its name, age and vocabulary are laid out for possible rescuers.
‘Four-year-old yellow/green budgie,’ the first section of text reads.
‘Squawks f*** off!’ it ends.
The blue cere above the bird’s beak indicates the budgie is a male.
Many on social media were quick to joke that Loretta’s frustrations might stem from the fact she is in fact a he.
Social media users were quick to point out Loretta is a boy with a female name
