Margot Robbie flaunts pins in Chanel at Oscars luncheon

She’s just received her first Oscar nomination for her hit film I, Tonya.

And on Monday, Australian actress Margot Robbie stepped out at the 90th Annual Academy Awards Nominee luncheon in Los Angeles.  

The 27-year-old stunned in a black and white Chanel mini dress, which she teamed with a matching bag from the famed fashion house.

Margot – who first rose to fame on Australian soap Neighbours – looked chic in the frock, which featured chain detailing and a layered hem.

She teamed the look with plain black sandals, letting her textured outfit do the talking.

Her makeup was kept simple and natural looking, complete with dewy foundation, lashings of mascara and a nude lip.

Margot told Ten Eyewitness News about the moment she heard about her nomination, saying she was surrounded by her family and friends after the premiere.

‘It was the best possible scenario to hear something like that. They plugged the phone into the DJ decks and literally as they did, they announced my name and everyone just went ‘ahh,’ and started screaming,’ she explained.

‘My mum was crying and I think I even cried because I was so overwhelmed.’

In I, Tony, the actress plays disgraced US figure skater Tonya Harding. 

She also served as a producer on the film alongside husband Tom Ackerley.

Margot faces competition from Meryl Streep (The Post), Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) and Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird).
