A rough sleeper has died after being found unconscious outside a city centre Debenhams store.
Emergency services were called to the department store in Bristol after reports of a man lying unconscious with serious injuries.
Paramedics treated him at the scene in a doorway of the St James Barton shop, but were unable to save him.

Shocked shoppers, who identified the man as a well-known rough sleeper, looked on in horror as the incident unfolded around 4.15pm yesterday, according to the Bristol Post.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: ‘We were called to reports of concern for welfare of a man unconscious on the floor near to Debenhams in St James Barton at about 4.15pm.

‘Treatment was given to the man who had head injuries but sadly he died shortly afterwards.
‘The death is being treated as unexplained, and not believed to be suspicious.’
A police spokesman said it was too early to tell if the man was homeless.
