A tormented father-of-two starved himself to death after suffering PTSD from a savage road rage attack in front of his baby daughter.
Ed Hallett, 41, Mid Glamorgan, Wales, dropped 16 stone after the trauma and lived on a diet of energy drinks.
Mr Hallett ‘never recovered’ from the violence he suffered at the hands of thug Jason Maidment, 34, and became introvert and insisted on 15-mile daily walks.
After an 18-month long ordeal of flashbacks and health problems, he suffered organ failure and died.

His devastated wife, Claire, told the Mirror: ‘He was a skeleton. I had to tell the girls daddy couldn’t fight anymore.
‘The rugby player I married – the hunk who’d fathered my children – now weighed 6st 8lb.’
Mr Hallett was attacked by Maidment when driving back from walking his dog Bonnie with 18-month old daughter, Eira-Rose, in October 2015.
An on-coming vehicle swerved off the road and Mr Hallet pulled over to check on the driver.
It was this point Maidment punched his victim around the head as his terrified daughter watched on.
He was later found guilty of ABH and sentenced to three years in prison.

Mr Hallett could not move on from the psychological torment of the incident and told family he was constantly haunted by ‘the hatred’ on his attacker’s face.
To fill his time he would take long walks in the mountains near his home and altered his diet.
Sadly, after a doctor found that he weighed just 6st 8lb, he suffered organ failure in February last year and died in hospital.
