Thousands of Kurds took to the streets of north London to protest against Turkey’s military attack on the Kurdish city of Afrin in Syria.

The protester doesn’t appear to show much resistance and it is not known if he was seriously injured during the incident at the weekend.

It is not known what occurred before the video started. The clip was posted on social media by a Kurdish media outlet. 

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘We are aware of a video posted on social media. 

‘We are in the process of establishing the circumstances of the incident. The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.’

The protest was against the attack the operation ‘Olive Branch’ in Afrin on January 20 against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), which Turkey has blacklisted as ‘terrorists’.
