My Millionaire Migrant Boss star is slammed by viewers

Viewers have slammed an unemployed woman who turned up an hour late to work after being offered a job by a multi-millionaire.

Georgia, 18, from Crosby, Merseyside, got through 10 jobs in just two years and admitted she was struggling to decide what she wanted to do with her life.

Appearing on Channel 4’s My Millionaire Migrant Boss, the teen was offered work in the Doubletree Hilton cleaning bathrooms and changing beds.

After her late arrival she complained about having to clean the bathroom quickly before polishing the mirror with a toilet brush – leaving it foggy – and was subsequently fired.

In the new series, self-made Palestinian millionaire Marwan Koukash offered four unemployed people a a two-week work trial, overseen and mentored by him.

Georgia, who lives with he grandparents, had previously worked in a call centre, at Pontins holiday camp and in a beauty salon but couldn’t hold down a job.

She was late on her first day and then late again on her third day, which lead to her dismissal. 

She blamed her lateness on her alarm not going off, but irate viewers put it down to sheer laziness.

One tweeted: ‘That Georgia brings down my home town of Crosby.’

‘That blonde girl needs a good boot up the rear. Lazy and rude,’ another posted.

A third ranted: ‘Very poor work ethics and OMG Georgia washing mirrors with a toilet brush!! I worked in hotels when I was young it was a good life. What’s the matter with young Brits now!!??’ 

The programme questioned the idea that migrants do the jobs that British people are too lazy to do.

The Liverpool-based mogul took over the Salford Red Devils in 2013 after the finding success with his business EuroMaTech, a corporate training company. 

His current wealth is estimated to be between £900m to £3bn, but he didn’t always have such a comfortable life.

When he was just seven years old, his family’s farm was bombed and the family were forced to seek sanctuary in Jordan.

On the way there they had to hide in a cave to shelter themselves from aircraft attacks and spent three years in a refugee camp.

The family were forced to flee Jordan again and settled in Kuwait, where Koukash’s father raised enough money to come to Liverpool at the age of just 17.

The 60-year-old earned a PhD in electrical engineering from Liverpool John Moores University, which he funded by working several odd jobs including as a bouncer, a waiter and a market trader.

In the 2000s he bought his first racehorse and had his first win in 2007, and by 2012 he had had 101 winners, who earned him over £1million in prize money.
