A would-be car thief has been stopped in his tracks by a couple dressed in just their underwear on the Gold Coast.
CCTV footage from the couple’s garage shows the thief attempt to make off with their car just before 5am on Wednesday morning.
Much to his surprise, mum-of-two Sarah Brew ran out to wrestle the man in just her nightgown and underwear.

Speaking to 9 News, Ms Brew said she had just woken up when she saw a shadow in the kitchen.
She said she ‘froze for a second’ before running out and giving the man a ‘piece of my mind’.
‘I told him to get the freaking hell out of my car,’ Ms Brew said.

Also dressed in just his jocks, Mr Stephen immediately grabbed the man and tackled him from the car after rushing out to help
After honking the car horn to raise the alarm, Mr Brew’s partner Joseph Stephen comes running out to throw the thief from the car.

Mr Stephen held the intruder for 10 minutes until police arrived and arrested him.
‘It was scary man, I was pretty scared the whole time,’ Mr Stephen said, commenting he’d do it again if he had to.

Queensland police later confirmed a 30-year-old from Canungra was arrested at the scene.
He faced court on Thursday on a list of charges including common assault, stealing and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to reappear in court on March 15.
