A truck driver has died after his vehicle slammed into at least five cars and a guard rail at a busy Queensland intersection on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the accident before 1pm near the intersection of Nudgee Road and Airport Drive at Hendra in Brisbane’s north east.
The semi trailer was coming off the Southern Cross Way ramp when it crashed into ‘a number of vehicles’ and a guard rail, a police spokesman said.
The truck driver died at the scene.

Queensland Ambulance spokesman told Daily Mail Australia four people were treated at the scene.
A woman in her 20s was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition for spinal precautions and a shoulder injury.
A second patient was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for minor seat belt injuries.
A third person declined to be taken to hospital while a fourth didn’t require hospital treatment.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area or delay travel on Friday following a fatal accident which left one person dead and another two in hospital
Investigations are underway to determine whether he had a medical episode prior to the crash, the Courier Mail reported.
Forensic Crash Unit police remain at the scene.
