Jordan Barrett says modelling is not that hard

He earned a reported $100,000 for one minute of work at Fashion Week last year.

And Jordan Barrett has acknowledged being a model is ‘not that hard’, ahead of walking the runway for David Jones’ Autumn Winter 2018 Collections Launch.

The 21-year-old spoke frankly about his career with BW magazine on Saturday, and shed light on his close friendship with industry veteran Kate Moss.

The young star was candid when describing his work as arguably the most popular male model since Tyson Beckford.

‘It’s not that hard to walk down a runway, is what I usually tell he people,’ he offered.

‘You’re just walking in clothes, really. Then you change them and put some shoes on. I’m usually barefoot, so I put shoes on and I walk,’ he added.

Jordan made headlines in May 2017 when he was paid a rumoured $100,000 to appear in a Justin Cassin show for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Sydney.

The Byron Bay-raised talent has forged friendships with fellow high profile models including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Kate Moss.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, he has become one of Kate’s ‘closest friends’ and she is his ‘favourite collaborator’.

‘I love to work with Kate, anything around Kate. She is just amazing, [I have a] great time with her,’ he told the publication.

Jordan’s mother Julie, who flew from the Gold Coast to Sydney to watch him walk in the David Jones show, had nothing but praise for her ‘wild child’ son.

‘I was here at the David Jones show the first time he walked [when he was 16] and I’m here now. I am very, very proud of him,’ she gushed.
