A lavish mansion in Los Angeles erupted in flames on Thursday evening that took more than 100 firefighters and more than two hours to extinguish.
The fire erupted around 5:30pm on the 10800 block of West Bellagio Road in Bel Air.
The homeowner, children, and nanny were inside at the time of the inferno but were alerted by smoke alarms and safely evacuated the home.

The 7,500 square feet residence quickly engulfed in flames with plumes of smoke and flames escaping from the mansion’s attic.
Eighty firefighters were on the scene six minutes after the emergency call.
By the end of the night around 107 firemen worked from above and in front of the home to tackle the flames.
The overwhelming blaze caused firefighters to enter defensive mode, pouring water from outside the home instead of within.
A knockdown was declared at 8:01pm, two and a half hours later, by the Los Angeles Fire Department, according to NBC.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with burns to his ears. Another suffered burns to the hands and face.
The inferno severely damaged the massive two-story property, but fire personnel were able to salvage several belongings.
The Fire Department was seen giving family picture frames and paperwork rescued from the home to the owner, according to CBS.
After the inferno was put out, several firefighters stayed on the scene to avoid any embers from reigniting a blaze.
