A Wisconsin police officer was punched in the face as he tried to apprehend a shoplifting suspect.
Dashcam footage shows two officers attempting to restrain Daryl Griffin, 31, who was suspected of stealing merchandise and resisting arrest outside a Kohl’s Department Store.
The video, obtained by WISN, sees two officers ordering Griffin to the ground.

Daryl Griffin, 31, was suspected of stealing merchandise and resisting arrest outside a Kohl’s Department Store
After he refused, an officer then fired a taser at Griffin.
A struggle took place in which Griffin then punched one of the cops in the nose as the officer tried to grab his hand during the scuffle
Griffin fell to to the floor but the damage was done.
‘He punched me in the f**king!’ the officer can be heard saying.
The officer’s nose began to bleed while another officer was also hurt, suffering cuts and bruises to the hand.
Griffin was charged with battery to a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer and misdemeanor retail theft.
Both the officers who suffered minor injuries ended up missing one day of work as a result of the alleged assault however both are now back at work and on duty.

Griffin was placed under arrest. The two officers took a day off after the scuffle although their injuries were said to be minor
