Sophie Monk shares video her father singing ‘country’ song

She’s the embattled Bachelorette who has faced a barrage of criticism after her split from millionaire pub baron Stu Landry.

But on Saturday, it appeared the blonde bombshell’s father was trying to make her feel better, and perhaps reminding her of her days with girl band, Bardot.

Taking to Instagram, Sophie shared a hilarious short clip of her dad singing a ‘country’ song to her.

He’s a popstar too, then? Embattled Bachelorette Sophie Monk has shared a hilarious video of her father singing a ‘country’ song, presumably after the former reality star’s shocking week, which included a tell-all to A Current Affair

First posting a captioned snap, ‘I told Dad @kaseychambersmusic is always there for me….next minute, this happened,’ she said, adding a crying laughing emoji.

In the clip, the TV starlet’s father starts, ‘I know you know Kasey Chambers, but this is real country.’

Her then starts singing: ‘I got a tree, I climb it, I got the leaves they fall over it, I don’t know what to say now, but I’m going on the trail…that trail’s ok, it’s ok.’

Despite the video not making too much sense, it seemed to do the trick as the former reality star can be heard laughing as she’s recording her old man, who appears rather animated.

It’s been a tough week for Sophie, who on Tuesday fronted A Current Affair over her split with Stu Landry.

The 38-year-old appeared visibly distressed as she tried to explain the breakup without going into details, which she feared would upset the ‘children involved.’

Sophie confessed that she desperately ‘kept trying to make (the relationship) work’ after falling in love with Stu on The Bachelorette more than six months ago.

But amid intense media scrutiny surrounding the couple – including rumours their romance was simply a publicity stunt – the attention eventually took its toll.

The former Bardot singer was accused of not being affectionate enough with her millionaire boyfriend, so decided to ‘stage’ kisses for the paparazzi.

So, was anything real? Sophie admitted earlier in the week that she staged paparazzi shots with ex Stu Laundy because she 'kept getting burnt for not being affectionate'

The stunt ‘backfired’, Sophie confessed during the tell-all interview, and resulted in even more negative headlines and social media gossip.

But despite the couple’s detractors, Sophie maintained that she gave the relationship her best shot, saying: ‘I didn’t go in this half-a***d… I went in full.’

Sophie later confirmed what many fans had expected: her reality television romance simply could not survive in the ‘real world’.
