A New York City corrections officer was arrested in The Bronx on Thursday after he allegedly took out his pistol and shot the tire of another person’s car during an argument over a fender-bender.
Steve Thomas, 53, was off duty when he and another driver got into a collision at around 6pm on Thursday.
The accident happened on Colden Avenue in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, according to the New York Post.

After the collision, Thomas and the driver are said to have had a heated exchange.
Thomas then took out the gun issued to him by the city and shot a bullet into one of the tires of the other car from the collision.
Police officers arrested Thomas and booked him at the 47th Precinct station house in the Bronx.
Thomas was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.
