Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was spotted taking selfies and smiling on a Hollywood Hills hike with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, just a day after his motorcade got into a car accident that left three people hurt.
The Prime Minister, 46, quickly bounced back from the collision that left the California Highway Patrol officer leading the motorcade with a broken clavicle, but with reassurances of a speedy recovery.
Twenty-four hours later Trudeau made strides in the California stop of his mini US tour focused on business and trade, including a hike with the Mayor and delivering a speech on the importance of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Garcetti showed Trudeau the sights from the picturesque points in front of the iconic Hollywood sign. The pair even stopped to chat with hikers and pose for selfies.
Trudeau said the hike was ‘awesome’ and ‘beautiful.’
To wrap up the hike, the two held a joint news conference at Griffith Observatory this morning.
When asked by a reporter if last night’s crash was overshadowing the purpose of his trip, Trudeau said the message that the two countries share close ties has not been lost.
‘That emphasis that we are working together for the betterment of our citizens is a message that does continue and does resonate,’ he said.
Garcetti warmly welcomed Trudeau to Los Angeles and said that Canada was a major trading partner for the city.
‘It’s very important for us in this moment, when there is so much supposed division in the world, to reinsure that there is friendship and strength. We see friendship as a strength and conflict as a weakness,’ Garcetti said.
The two men made statements in English, French and Spanish.

Speaking on NAFTA later that day, Trudeau stressed the agreement needs to be modernized and not abandoned.
The next round of talks over the trade pact is set to begin in Mexico later this month.
President Donald Trump called the 24-year-old agreement a job-killing ‘disaster’ on the campaign trail, and he has threatened to pull out unless the deal requires more auto production in the U.S., while shifting additional government contracts to U.S. companies.
Trudeau argued that the deal has sent benefits both ways across the border.
‘President Trump and I agree about this: Too many people have been left behind, even as our economies surged,’ Trudeau said.
On Thursday, the Canadian Prime Minister stopped in San Francisco where he was greeted with promises of investments by major corporations.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff announced the online business software company will invest another $2billion in its Canadian operation during his visit.
His speech on Friday in Los Angeles he warned that Canada won’t be muscled into a trade deal that is unfavorable to his country, while promoting the country as a destination for California technology firms uneasy with shifting U.S. immigration policy.
The hike came barely 24 hours after his motorcade got into a collision after he delivered a speech at Reagan Presidential Library in Los Angeles

Just after that speech the motorcade crash took place, at around 7:22pm on Madera Road in Simi Valley, California.
The Canadian Prime Minister was leaving the Reagan Presidential Library where he had wrapped up a speech, when a Toyota Highlander turned in front of his motorcade, according to ABC News.
The vehicle, containing a female driver and her son, struck an official motorcycle leading the motorcade, breaking the officer’s clavicle.
California Highway Patrol spokeswoman Elizabeth Kravig said the driver and her son were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
The CHP officer was also injured and was hospitalized with ‘non-critical’ injuries.
The vehicle Trudeau was in was not involved in the crash.
