A 16-year-old boy has been shot by police after he allegedly lunged at officers while armed with a knife.
The offender was allegedly shot multiple times and was taken to Princess Alexandria Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland.
The incident took place at a home at Danube Crescent in Springfield, Ipswich, about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Queensland Police confirmed to Daily Mail Australia a male has been transported to the hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
The boy reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body.
