Video shows the train slowly edging towards the other side of the road while a motorist patiently waits with their engine running.
The lead caterpillar winds across the dirt track, while the rest of the crew obediently trace every step closely behind.
The result is a twisting trail of the creatures which eventually makes its way safely across the road.
‘I saw the train as I drove past and initially thought it was a shedded snakeskin,’ the person who shot the video said.
