- Wombat, koalas, a ring tailed possum and young wallaby showered with love
- The native animals enjoyed treats suited to their natural diets
- Handlers looked to be enjoying the love fest as much as their furry friends
A number of the native animals who call the Symbio Wildlife Park home have been showered with love, gifts and treats for Valentine’s Day, a video released by the zoo shows.
Millie the wombat, koalas Imogen and James, Clancy the ring-tailed possum and Ruby the wallaby celebrated the day in the arms of their loving keepers who were having trouble containing their own excitement.
The treats were set out in traditional Valentine’s Day gift boxes covered with bright red and pink love hearts.

Millie the wombat didn’t take long to open up her box of goodies and get stuck in while some of the park’s kangaroos surrounded handlers to get their moment of attention and affection.
A couple of the koalas seemed more interested in their hugs from handlers than the gifts and treats which the handlers were more than happy to do.
Meanwhile the ring tail possums shared a romantic lunch for two on a table that had been decked out with fruit and flower petals.
