A Mexican national who has been deported three times pleaded guilty on Tuesday to possession and intent to distribute $400,000 worth of crystal meth to an undercover agent.
Saul Bustos Bustos, 38, was busted with his partner Irepan Salgado, 24, after they reportedly drove their ‘methmobile’ down from Atlanta, Georgia, to an IHOP in Hialeah, Florida, on November 28.
According to the Miami Herald, the pair had a total of seven kilograms of meth worth $560,000, but only five kilograms were to be sold to the undercover agent.
Court documents show that Salgado’s brother, Luciano Salgado, a meth dealer in Georgia and New York, vetted the agent before the drop.
Luciano Salgado took a call from the undercover agent and negotiated a wholesale price of $14,500 per kilogram, according to the US Attorney’s Office in Florida.
He then turned the customer over to Irepan, so they could arrange a meeting at the IHOP.
The undercover agent then followed Bustos and Irepan Salgado to a warehouse. After the pair secured the meth into the agent’s box, they were arrested.
According to the Miami Herald, Bustos had been deported three times over a three-month period.

Bustos was somehow able to make it back into the US after being deported on April 13, July 6 and July 19 of last year.
Both Bustos and Salgado pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.
They both face 10 years to life in federal prison for the crimes.
Bustos is scheduled to be sentenced before United States District Judge K. Michael Moore on March 29.
