Eamonn Holmes has been praised by This Morning viewers for savaging a top Oxfam boss over the Haiti sex scandal during a live interview.
Director of Fundraising Tim Hunter was on the ITV show to discuss the charity’s response to the crisis, which has led to several celebrities and organisations threaten to pull their donations.
Mr Hunter started by reports of aid workers using prostitutes ‘have revealed things that we are deeply ashamed of that we are very sorry about.’

But Holmes was incensed by Mr Hunter’s suggestion that similar instances of alleged wrongdoing could be taking place at other charities and accused him of ‘smearing’ them.
The charity boss said: ‘This raises really serious questions about not just how Oxfam works but also about how other charities operate.’
Holmes hit out: ‘Wait a minute, this is like the football league. You’re saying it isn’t just us. It’s all competition. This is not what it’s about.
‘The real scandal is when I was a child at primary school, we were asked to give money to Oxfam.
‘You have taken people’s money and sympathy and you have messed it up.’
