MAFS: Troy throws a tantrum over his ‘perfect’ hair

He admitted he would have delayed his own wedding if his ‘hair flick’ wasn’t perfectly coiffed.

And Married At First Sight’s Troy Demelge took his obsession with his mane to new heights on Wednesday night, when he threw an epic tantrum after wife Ashley Irwin asked him to cut it.

The 35-year-old IT manager whined that his ‘do was ‘perfect’ and his ‘defining’ feature during a stand-off outside a barber shop.

‘I can show you my feelings for you in such more powerful ways!’ he ranted to Ashley as they rowed by the door.

Looking furious, Ashley ranted back: ‘Yeah – you say that but you can’t get a haircut for me!’

Gesturing wildly, a frustrated Troy yelled: ‘This proves absolutely zero!’

‘It does! It means you’re not into your looks! And you are! Look, you keep looking at yourself in the reflection!’ she shrieked back. ‘Your hair shouldn’t mean that much to you.’

Trying to compose himself, Troy gestured at the barber’s door and said: ‘Ashley, let’s go in and compromise.’

The flight attendant caught him sneaking a glance in his reflection once again however, and fumed: ‘Stop looking at yourself in the mirror while you’re talking to me! I’m done.’

The goofball also claimed his late grandmother would be devastated if he chopped off his locks.

Viewers were left baffled by his stubborn reaction, with some branding him ‘vain’, and saying it was ‘hilarious’ that he would cite his grandma as a reason not to cut it.

‘Dear Troy. Please stop being so vain about your hair! It will grow back!!’ one fan ranted on Twitter.

‘Oh man Troy I don’t think your grandmother will be devestated you got a hair cut,’ a second user penned.

Did I hear right… Did Troy actually say his dead grandma would be upset if he cut his hair? That’s hilarious!’ a third added.

Others fumed: ‘Shut up about your hair already Troy,’ and ‘I don’t know how Troy can even see his “perfect hair” when his head’s so far up his b**t.’

It comes after Troy admitted he would have delayed his wedding if his ‘hair-flick’ wasn’t at the optimal angle.

‘It’s important to me,’ he told Jayne Azzopardi on Talking Married. ‘I do like to have it right, especially on my wedding day’.

The former tennis prodigy-turned-IT-manager insisted the small elongated piece of his fringe ‘does have an oversized effect on my total, like, appearance look’.

‘It’s sort of the unifying factor is like the hair-flick at the front,’ he insisted. ‘The hair brings everything together.’

When pressed on whether it was worth potentially disrupting a date with his experimental wife Ashley, he balked.

‘I do think it’s worth investing in that because you get BIG results,’ he said.

Troy also opened-up about the moment he turned to Ashley while they were on their way to brunch because he’d forgotten to do push-ups that morning.

‘A few push-ups for me and I get the swell effect. But I forgot (that morning). And walking out I thought: “I want to have the beach-look for Ashley,” it has a BIG effect’.

‘And I think most women would agree it’s worth waiting two minutes for’.
