A mother and daughter battered another woman in a brawl outside the portable toilets at a Glastonbury-style music festival.
Receptionist Amanda Penberthy and her daughter Jade sparked a fight at the music festival as they queued, leading the 52-year-old to straddle and punch the victim, who had also had a Strongbow can smashed into her face.
Rebecca Johnson, 33, was left battered, bruised and suffered a broken arm – which a witness said was ‘hanging off’ – after being set upon by the pair at the tribute act music festival.

All three women were attending the GlastonBarry event in Barry, South Wales, on July 29 last year with bands on the line up including Oasish and Stereotonics.
Jade Penberthy screamed ‘fat cow’ and ‘slag’ at Miss Johnson and branded her ‘goofy’ before they clashed, according to witnesses.
Penberthy smashed a can of Strongbow Dark Fruit into Miss Johnson’s mouth and the cider exploded in her face.
The festival features tribute acts such as Oasish and Stereotonics, but this year was the site of a beating before which Miss Johnson was branded a ‘fat cow’ and a ‘slag’ by her attackers
Amanda Penberthy joined in to grab Miss Johnson before they were pulled apart by security, only for a mass scuffle to break out between the families of the three women.
Miss Johnson was then pushed to the ground and broke her wrist – before she was jumped on by Amanda Penberthy.
Cardiff magistrates heard gym receptionist Amanda Penberthy rained a series of punches down on Miss Johnson while straddling her on the muddy ground.
Jade Penberthy and her mother attacked Miss Johnson, who was left with her arm hanging off according to an eyewitness
Eyewitness Thomas Barlow said: ‘There was a scuffle going on. Everyone was in a circle like in a school fight. There were 10 or 12 people.
‘I didn’t see how it started. As I walked closer I could see someone was on the floor with a female on top of them.
‘The female on the floor had her hand over her face. The other female straddled across her punching her to the head.’
Festival steward Christian Williams said he found Miss Johnson ‘bruised’ with blood coming from her mouth and her arm ‘hanging off’.
The court heard both families had been at ‘loggerheads’ for 16 years and Miss Johnson had married Amanda Penberthy’s nephew Craig. Both Penberthys denied assault and claimed they had acted in self defence.
But the mother and daughter, of Barry, were found guilty by District Judge Stephen Harmes.
Judge Harmes ordered the women to end their feud – and ordered a report to hear what had caused their bad blood.
He said: ‘Both women attacked Rebecca Johnson and, when she was vulnerable, Amanda Penberthy attacked her again.
‘There is a family feud here and it needs nipping in the bud.’
Amanda and Jade Penberthy, both from Barry, were bailed and will be sentenced next month.
