Shanina Shaik has called for the US government to take action following yet another American gun massacre which has left at least 17 dead at a Florida high school.
The Australian model, 27, took to her Instagram stories on Thursday after she saw a ‘tragic disturbing video’ of the deadly incident.
An emotional Shanina went on to ask the government why they ‘wouldn’t change their laws as innocent children were dying.’

Speaking to her 1 million Instagram followers, Shanina revealed: ‘I have just seen the most disturbing graphic video of the Florida school shooting. Why I ask? Why won’t the Government help change the laws ?!!! Innocent children are dying
‘I send my prayers and love to all the families and children… I’m so sorry you have to deal with loss and fear…,’ she continued.
Shanina isn’t the only celebrity to have spoken out about demanding justice in the wake of the deadly shooting.
American stars Kim Kardashian, Mark Ruffalo, Ellen DeGeneres and Reese Witherspoon have all tweeted their messages of shock, outrage, and love.

This comes after Shanina proved she really didn’t need much to accentuate her features, as she shared a striking selfie on Wednesday which gave the illusion she was make-up free.

Shanina has also been confirmed to star in a docu-series on the modelling industry, which will premiere on the E! network in October alongside Nadine Leopold, Olivia Culpo and Devon Windsor.
Model Squad is set to go behind-the-scenes at some of the biggest fashion shows, photo shoots and campaigns.
Showing just how competitive and fast-paced the industry is, the reality series will follow the lives of Shanina and her peers.
In November of last year, Shanina revealed little detail about her role in the series, telling The Daily Telegraph: ‘I’m working with E! on a new project that will be coming out next year, early.’
