A man who allegedly killed a woman when his utility truck crashed into her car at a red light has been charged.
The 33-year-old was charged with culpable driving on Thursday night and has been remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday, Herald Sun reported.
He is accused of crashing his Holden Rodeo into the 27-year-old’s silver Mitsubishi Lancer sedan at the corner of Wellington Road and Braeburn Parade in Rowville, Melbourne’s outer-east, shortly after 11am on Thursday.

The female driver, from Melbourne’s east, died at the scene.
Victoria Police said she was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the horror smash.
Witness Christina Mammino was at a chicken shop nearby when she rushed over to crash scene, which she described as ‘pretty horrific, to say the least’.
‘There were a lot of people around, a few ladies were really distressed. I’ve never seen anything so extreme,’ she told the publication.
She said she checked the woman’s pulse but she had already died. She then placed her jacket over the woman.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives were at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
Wellington Road at Silkwood Way was blocked off in both directions, and traffic was diverted well into Thursday afternoon.
