Elton John gets beads thrown at him during Vegas concert

He’s had a wild forty year career.

But Sir Elton John was left fuming by one fan’s crazy antics during his Caesars Palace gig on Wednesday night.

The music legend, 70, was in the middle of singing his hit Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting when what looked like Mardi Gras beads came flying over his piano.

Elton was visibly shocked by the interruption, stopping his singing as aides rushed around him.

Clearly worried he had suffered an injury, the singer checked his teeth before wiping his mouth with a cloth while his band played on.

It was over thirty seconds before Elton was able to compose himself and resume singing.

The star had just invited the first row of the gig to come on stage, and one of those fans threw the beads.

Meanwhile Sir Elton is said to have cancelled two of his upcoming Vegas gigs to ensure that he is free to attend the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May, reported The Sun this week.

The singing icon has reportedly pulled the plug on two Las Vegas concerts of his Million Dollar Piano residency at Caesars Palace on May 18 and 19 so that he can attend or even perform at the glittering nuptials on May 19 – should he be invited.

When asked last month about his plans for the wedding, due to be held in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, he told the website ‘I don’t know. I haven’t even been — no one’s been asked.

‘I’m playing in Vegas so I don’t know what’s going to happen.

‘It will be nice because I love him very dearly. ‘

MailOnline has contacted Elton’s representatives for comment.
