- Vikki Campion and Barnaby Joyce reportedly sat down for a joint interview
- Deputy Prime Minister had vowed to ‘keep private matters private’
- Mr Joyce is on leave this week rather than serving as Acting Prime Minister
Barnaby Joyce and his pregnant lover Vikki Campion reportedly sat down for a joint media interview at their home on Wednesday.
The forthcoming interview – promoted on the Facebook page of his local newspaper The Northern Daily Leader – was conducted at the couple’s Armidale townhouse.
The paper did not answer calls. The interview comes despite the Deputy Prime Minister telling the ABC’s 7.30 program he wanted to ‘keep private matters private’.

Natalie Joyce, his wife and the mother of Mr Joyce’s four children, said she was ‘deceived and hurt’ after Ms Campion’s pregnancy was revealed earlier this month.
Ms Campion’s baby boy is expected in April.
Mr Joyce took personal leave this week while Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull travels to the United States to meet President Donald Trump.
His absence meant Finance Minister Matthias Cormann was left to fill in as Acting Prime Minister instead.
