Hollywood has been rocked by a number of sexual assault allegations in recent months.
And Margot Robbie has revealed she’s been rocked to the core by the testimonies from women – and men – against the likes of Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and James Franco, which have spawned the #MeToo and Time’s Up movement anti-sexual harassment movements.
The 27-year-old actress admitted she has been forced to confront her old memories and has been ‘reassessing things’ about her past and ‘sleazy’ behaviour that she once thought was acceptable.

Margot told Stylist magazine: ‘When all of these assault allegations started coming forward, I remember hearing half of them and thinking, “I didn’t know that was classified as assault or sexual harassment. I just chalked it up to a sleazy guy being sleazy.
‘That goes to show that when a problem can be so prevalent in society, we just accept it as a way of life.
‘I’ve definitely gone back through my memories and now I’m reassessing things with a view of, “OK, that’s not acceptable behaviour, and why did I accept it at the time?”‘

Margot also discussed how she found playing Tonya Harding ‘liberating’ because she had taken on some of her ‘unapologetic’ traits.
The actress plays the disgraced American Olympic figure skater in new biopic I, Tonya and her performance has been widely praised, earning her a Best Actress nomination at the Oscars next month.
The Time’s Up movement is backed by more than 300 women in Hollywood including Meryl Streep, Michelle Williams, Laura Dern and Oprah Winfrey.

The group banded together to advocate for gender parity in executive ranks and provide legal defense aid of $13m (£9m) for sexual harassment victims.
It was set up at the start of the 2018 in response to a wave of sexual harassment allegations in the industry, particularly in relation to mogul Harvey Weinstein.
The leaderless initiative includes a legal defense fund to help working-class women – like cleaners, nurses and workers at farms, factories, restaurants and hotels – protect themselves from sexual misconduct and the fallout from reporting it.
Legislation to penalise companies that tolerate persistent harassment, and to discourage the use of nondisclosure agreements to silence victims.
The Time’s Up movement was founded as the next step to the #MeToo movement which saw women across the globe share their stories of sexual harassment.
