Police have release CCTV footage of the moment an amateur thief robs a restaurant in Melbourne’s outer south east while trying, and failing, to conceal his identity.
The break in occurred about 3:20am on February 15th on Clayton Rd in Clayton.
The bungling burglar attempts to cover his face with a shirt as he deftly navigates his way around the restaurant.

The man rifles through the counter area before entering the office and storeroom where he is thought to have stolen cash.
The man is described as Caucasian, thin build, clean shaven, and with a short crew cut.
