Anna Wintour’s daughter jokes about lookalike Hicks’ exit

Fashion legacy Bee Schaffer made a joke about needing a job in the wake of her doppleganger Hope Hick’s departure from the White House Wednesday.

‘Anyone hiring?’ the model and daughter of Vogue editor Anna Wintour posted on Instagram with a photo of her and a photo of Hicks.

Hicks announced she would be leaving the White House on Wednesday, a day after she was grilled for nine hours by the House Intelligence Committee and had to parry questions about the Trump campaign’s alleged contacts with Russian nationals.

Schaffer and Hicks do bare a striking similarity, sharing the same long brown hair, pale skin and full brows. Their facial features are also strikingly similar, and it is sometimes difficult to tell the two women apart in a set of pictures.

The comparison was first pointed out over the summer when Guest of A Guest posted an article which ironically wondered if the two women might be the same person.

Schaffer then took a screenshot of the headline and posted it to her Instagram with the caption: ‘There are fine people on both sides,’ echoing the outrageous words Trump used to refer to white supremacists and their opponents after the Charlottesville demonstrations unfolded in August.

There is one fundamental point on which Shaffer and Hicks differ: both Shaffer and her mother are strong Hillary Clinton supporters, while Hicks obviously is on the Trump side.

But Hicks might be feeling a little more friendly towards her look-alike after her departure from the White House.

The 28-year-old reportedly decided to take her leave after Trump repeatedly ‘berated’ her because she admitted to telling ‘white lies’ for hte president during her testimony Tuesday.

A source made the revelation to CNN just hours after it was announced that Hicks would be departing the White House in the coming weeks, leaving a giant hole in the inner circle Trump trusts most.

‘She was his last emotional crutch,’ the source said.

But White House spokesman Hogan Gidley called the report that Trump berated Hicks after her testimony ‘false’.

Hicks spent nine hours on Tuesday testifying before the House Intelligence Committee and parrying questions about the Trump campaign’s alleged contacts with Russian nationals.

She told committee members that while she sometimes told ‘white lies’ for Trump, she had always been truthful about the Russia matter.

Investigators for special counsel Robert Mueller asked Hicks about a comment she made The New York Times two days after the 2016 election.

‘We are not aware of any campaign representatives that were in touch with any foreign entities before yesterday, when Mr. Trump spoke with many world leaders,’ Hicks said at the time.

According to CNN, a former Trump campaign official who was asked about Hicks’ 2016 comment said it has come up with Mueller’s team as well as with House and Senate Intelligence Committees.

The New York Times was first to report on Hicks’ departure.
