A seven-year-old student was rushed to hospital after being bitten by a snake while at school.
Ambulance were called to the Fitzgerald State School in North Mackay, Queensland on Thursday morning at 11.17am.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the boy received a bite to the leg and was transported to Mackay Base Hospital.

The hospital confirmed the boy was admitted in a stable condition and and later left.
The school said they had ‘no comment to make when asked for details by Daily Mail Australia.
Meanwhile, another man, 22, was bitten on the same evening in the Mackay region on Thursday.
He was rushed to the Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition after ambulance assessed him
James McWinney was bitten by a tree snake at 9pm on Thursday.
His Mum Nikki told Daily Mail Australia she applied a pressure bandage and phoned an ambulance.
He stayed in hospital for tests until 2.30am and then returned home.
‘I’m just glad I’ve done my first aid,’ she said.
The Fitzgerald State School in North Mackay, Queensland, were tight lipped about the incident
She said she had seen about 10 snakes on her property since she has lived there including pythons and a tree snake the other day.
