This is the shocking moment a weightlifter had blood shooting from his nose after the strain of lifting an impressive 67st.
Russian stongman, Mikhail Shivlyakov was competing in the deadlift at the 2018 Arnold Sports Festival tournament in Colombus, Ohio.
Dramatic footage captured Shivlyakov’s attempt to lift nearly half a ton, that left his nose erupting in blood, and him stealing the show.
The 37-year-old, who is a previous Marine sailor in the Navy, is no weakling yet the pressure of lifting nearly half a ton soon became too much for the strongman.

Struggling to lift the weight high enough to pass through the next round, Shivlyakov’s nose begins to pour with blood from the immense strain.
The audience urge him on, knowing how close is to completing the deadlift, even while blood runs down his face.
Miraculously, the incident doesn’t put Shivlyakov off his came too much and he triumphs to victory, lifting 426kg.

He waves to the audience, who is at this point cheering wildly, and wipes the blood from off his face.
Sadly, this incredible display wasn’t enough to win the event.
Instead Thor Bjornsson – who plays ‘The Mountain’ on popular TV show Game Of Thrones – won, with an impressive world-record deadlift of 472kg, 44kg more than Shivlyakov, reported the Sun.
The competition displays the best examples of strength and any world-record breakers are treated to a reward of £3,600 and a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
