How you dress for an interview is also a crucial point.
Ms Gately recalled a time a woman walked in wearing a short skirt, low cut shirt and winked at one of the men on the panel.
Turning up on time, prepared and speak honestly about past employment and challenges – but don’t criticise.
Ms Gately also advises that you should be constructive in your interview, not argumentative.
You also shouldn’t use caffeine to calm your nerves on the day of the interview – instead eat well and breathe deeply.
A mix of ‘self-belief balanced with humility’ is the personality you should strive to put across during your interview.
