An author from Melbourne says it’s ‘women’s fault’ that they are being played by men for sex.
Intimacy Behaviourist and former ‘elite’ escort, Gwyneth Montenegro, who first made headlines after she claimed to have slept with more than 10,000 men, is teaching women how to avoid being played for sex and urging them to ‘love with their brains’.
‘Like it or not, we women get played by men because we let them. We switch off our brains and cling to our comfort zone, our emotions,’ Ms Montenegro told FEMAIL.
‘If you go back a few generations, a partner choice was made with a conscious decision on who is capable of protecting us the most. Nowadays we aren’t so worried about such things and we are seeking the fairy tale.’

So what does ‘being played’ look like on the modern dating scene?
‘A conscious attempt to treat you as a convenience and not an equal. An entity to be be manipulated in order to attain his purpose,’ Ms Montenegro said.
‘It’s happening so often as women are way too often giving up their control and entering into a relationship from a position of “need”.

‘There’s intense pressure from society for a woman to be in a relationship and as such often puts her in a position to show that she’s capable of “getting a man” without the inward desire to have one in the first place.
‘There’s still a lot of stigma to being single.’
Ms Montenegro said women are making it ‘harder for themselves’ when dating.
‘The dating scene is difficult for both sexes, but I do feel that women are making it unnecessarily hard for themselves,’ she said.
‘The easier that women are to get, the less men appreciate her. Play a little hard to get, let him earn your love.’
She also said that women ‘seeking emotional validation, choosing to have a partner based on societal expectations alone and loving purely with her heart and disengaging her brain’ are all common issues.

Ms Montenegro said ‘one in every 10 dating men are career players’ and that ‘they’ll just do it exponentially’.
‘Then there’s other men who use the false premise of love to seek sex. They represent another two in every 10 men,’ she said.
‘So before you even sit down across the table with the potential Mr Right you already have a 30 per cent change of teaming up with Mr Wrong.
‘Women can take back their power today and never let another guy outplay her for sex and do her out of the true connection that she craves. It’s as simple as grasping the game from his perspective and looking for the tell-tale signs.’

Gwyneth’s own life went awry when, as a young Christian girl, the was drugged, taken away and gang raped.
The resulting self-hatred and feelings of unworthiness set her headlong into the sex trade before she got her life back on track and made a career of empowering women globally.
Determined that other women don’t go through what she went through, Ms Montenegro’s new book, MEN OUTPLAYED – The Explosive Guide That Reveals Why Men Play Women and What To Do About It, seeks to ’empower women with a deep level of skills to potentially outplay predatory men at their own game’.
