A 30-year-old became a victim of his own stupidity when he ran himself over during a police chase.
Isaac Bonsu, who is suspected of driving while intoxicated and possessing marijuana, was attempting to flee from officers in a Washington suburb on Tuesday night.
Having led police on a car chase, he tried to ditch his car so that he could lose his chasers on foot.
Unfortunately for him, he hadn’t put the car in park, and as he ran in front of the vehicle, it smashed him to the ground – and it was all caught on video.
The dashcam footage shows Bonsu driving the vehicle with squad cars trailing him.
He turns left and heads towards what looks like a grass verge and opens his driver door.
With the car still moving and the door still open, he leaps out and starts running towards the side of the road.
He initially gets in front of his vehicle, but he is not quick enough to get in front of it as he disappears under the hood end of the car after being hit.

The chase was short-lived, and officers arrested him shortly after he was knocked down by his own car.
His injuries were said to be minimal and he has been charged for a third-time with driving while intoxicated, a felony hit-and-run and for an illegal window tint on his car, according to Fox.
