Studio 10 host Jessica Rowe resigned from her role on the morning program in a shock on-air announcement on Friday.
But it appears the TV presenter may have hinted at her departure days earlier on her personal blog, CrapHousewife.com.
The mother-of-two, 47, insisted she wanted to ‘slow down’, ‘live a more free-range lifestyle’ and be ‘more balanced and present for the people I love.’

Jessica, who has co-hosted the morning program since 2013, told viewers she decided to leave in order to spend more time with her family.
Jessica is married to Channel Nine’s Peter Overton, with whom she shares 10-year-old Allegra and eight-year-old Giselle.
In her blog post, uploaded on Monday, the journalist said she was on a ‘never-ending quest to find new ways of slowing down’ and suggested that reading a book titled ‘Slow’ by Brooke McAlary inspired her to make changes in her life.

‘It’s a straightforward, practical book that doesn’t preach but instead suggests simple ways that you can lead a more balanced and meaningful life,’ she praised the book.
She noted a few of her key takeaways from the read, including letting go ‘of the cr** that doesn’t matter to YOU’, and considering your legacy.
‘Take some time out to think about what kind of life you want to be remembered for,’ she added.
Jess continued: ‘Let’s give ourselves permission to slow down… There is much in the book that resonated with me, and it’s inspired me to make more resolutions.’

Justifying her decision, the popular TV personality said on-air: ‘It’s been a very hard thing for me to do, but it’s because my family need me… I want to be more present, I want to be a more present mum for my girls, Allegra and Giselle. They need their mum.’
Her announcement drew stunned gasps from members in the audience and had co-host Joe Hildebrand sobbing into his hands.
During her on-air departure, Jessica made clear that Channel Ten have been ‘nothing but supportive’ and that she is ‘welcome back’ at any time.
