A rubbish truck has been forced to dump its load on a busy freeway in South Australia after it caught on fire on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the Bald Hills Road off-ramp on the South Eastern Freeway at Blakiston around 1.30pm after reports rubbish erupted into flames inside the truck.
The rubbish truck driver was forced to unload the garbage onto the off-ramp.

Six crews from South Australia’s Country Fire Service attended the scene south of Adelaide.
Three crews remained still at the scene four hours later.
‘Our aircraft also attended but wasn’t required,’ a spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia.
It’s unknown how much damage was caused to the truck.

The incident caused delays in the vicinity while the mess was cleared.
Traffic restrictions were in place between Adelaide and Bald Hills roads.
‘There were a few delays but they have since cleared,’ a South Australia Police spokesman said.
There were separate delays to east bound traffic earlier on Friday morning following a single car rollover on the Princes Highway.
The driver, a Mount Gambier man aged 78, was airlifted the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The passenger, a woman aged 70, was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
