The third day of the annual Crufts competition is usually dedicated to tiny toy dogs – but today a huge mountain dog stole the show after adorable photos emerged of a two-year-old girl cuddling up to him.
Fearne Crozier was spotted hugging a huge Pyrenean mountain dog at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham this afternoon.
The show today is dedicated to toy dogs – small lap drops bred for their size – and utility dogs, who are trained for a specific purpose.
Dogs on show will include bichon frises, chihuahuas, pekingese, pugs, pomeranians and Yorkshire terriers representing the toy breed, and bulldogs, poodles, Shih Tzus, and Boston terriers for the utility breed category.
Up to 27,000 dogs are expected to take part or visit the dog show, and 22,000 of these will be competing for a spot in the grand finale on Sunday.
The rainy weather has also meant that after weeks of being trimmed, trained and pampered, plenty of the miniature pooches have had to wrap up warm before making it into the arena for judging which kicks off at 6.55pm tonight.
